Irradiated Software's TwoUp

Irradiated Software - TwoUp

I love my mac, but one thing that can be frustratingly difficult is getting it to operate like a tiling window manager, efficiently laying out my screen in a consistent and reproducable fashion.  I spend a lot of time with the mouse moving windows and resizing them to the layout I desire.  There are really no good keyboard based tiling window layout tools that I have found for the mac.  There are a number for Windows and linux

My real problem is that on a dailly basis, I work at two different work spaces.  And though both are dual external monitors hooked up to my Mac Book Pro, their resolutions differ, requiring things to be readjusted.  So, things have to be resized to fit the new environment each time I move.

TwoUp is a tantalizingly close attempt to solve the problem of keyboard based tiling window manager for the mac.  It allows you to easily split your main screen between two windows either horizontally or vertically.  I'm hoping that in time they will add additional features so that it will be useful on multiple monitors as well as have more arbitrary layout of the windows instead of just splits.  But in my informal testing, it has done very well at what it does.
